60 years state of Israel
CONGRATULATIONS
The Levi Lassen Foundation would like to congratulate the people and government of Israel with the 60th anniversary of their state.

Since the beginning of the Levi Lassen Foundation 50 years ago, we have had the privilege of supporting the people of Israel with numerous projects in a large variety of areas.
SOCIAL JUSTICE AND SOCIAL CHANGE
With the special " social justice and social change " program for Israel Levi Lassen is committed to continue investing and advancing its unique "Social Justice and Social Change" policy for the benefit of the people and the land of Israel.
EFC meeting in Madrid
Last June our board visited the EFC AGA meeting and conference in Madrid. Our representative in Israel, Hannan Serphos, hosted a breakfast debate "Cooperation and grantmaking for human rights and justice in Israel - A new challenge".
The aim of this meeting was to find other foundations that are interested in projects in Israel. The new initiative, the European Foundations for Israel Forum (EFI), was launched and explained. EFI aims to encourage cooperation between European foundations in relation to Israel, and work with European foundations in order to increase their influence on key issues in Israel and the area. 50 years anniversary Van Leer Jerusalem Institute
At the end of August the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute will celebrate its 50 years anniversary (as did the Levi Lassen foundation last June 13th). The Levi Lassen foundation is very proud of its continuous relationship with VLJI. We supported different projects, the last project we suported was "New Horizons for religious educators", a year-long academic enrichment program designed to expose Yeshiva school principals to higher education and Western thought as a critical first step towards cultivating tolerance, respect and increased participation in Israeli society and civil society endeavors among Jews of diverse ideologies.
Our relationship continues in the Netherlands as well, with the Bernard van Leer Foundation and the Van Leer Group.
