Selection

In considering each funding proposal, the Board of the foundation examines its components against the following criteria:

 

The project:
Financial:

  • Quality of the proposal’s financial data.

  • Limited overhead.

 

Scope vs. restrictions, type of contribution:

  • Preference for co-financing comprehensive projects.

  • Preference for investment projects rather than funding operational costs.

 

Feasibility, perspective:

  • Chances for succesful realization of the project.

  • Impact and are favourable prospects in terms of continuity and sustainability.

  • Example for other organisations.


 Monitoring and evaluation conditions:

  • Willingness for monitoring and evaluation? 


The grantseeking organisation:

 
  • The grantseeker is a foundation (amuta in Israel).
  • The grantseeker has a good name.

 

Restrictions
In priciple the foundation does not provide grants:

  • to individuals and/or for individual purposes
  • by way of student grants nor funding for PhD-research projects
  • of a permanent or structural nature
  • to projects with a commercial character
  • to projects in health, semi-health and projects for disabled persons
  • for services which replace the government or schools
